A Family of Dirty Politicians
David Sahli and his wife Angelina Sulaka moved to Franklin with high hopes of connecting with Quicken loans leadership to accelerate Davids career. They brought a weird obsession with politics from Washington DC with them. They immediately embedded themselves into the Franklin Community Association (FCA) where they tried to change everything and after a failed takeover attempt they shifted their focus to Franklin Village Politics.
Their first foray into the politics of the village was in supporting the councils illegal efforts to install sidewalks without the required vote from residents. David and his wife used their status as bar certified layers to mislead voters claiming a vote was not legally required. Unfortunately it did not stop there and they relentlessly attacked anyone that supported the required democratic vote on sidewalks.
Shady DC Politics Brought to Franklin
The shady political tactics David Sahli and Angelina Sulaka learned in Washington DC seemingly catapulted them into a position of power in the village.
- Relentlessly attack anyone supporting the democratic vote on sidewalks
- Silence the other side by taking over Nextdoor moderation and censoring dissenting opinions
- Spreading false rumors about “opponents”
- Stealing and destroying signs
- Filing false police reports about “stolen signs” which were removed by them selves
David Sahli and Angelina Sulaka were rumored to be the ones behind the theft and destruction of political signs and this was proven true at least for David Sahli when he stole a sign of a competitor in front of a house downtown. He thought since it was done in the dark of night during a power outage the camera’s would not pick him up…but they did. The homeowner pressed charges. Unfortunately the charges were dropped after Trustee David Goldberg was convinced to help them by asking the resident to drop the charges. As lawyers they all knew tampering with witnesses was illegal but they did it anyway.
